An inspiring collection of the composite bouquets continues with the new version of Glamelia.
This design can offer ideas for something unique with elements of delicacy instead of the round rose bouquet. The Gladiola blooms have presented in the new modern way creating the ruffled texture for the unique stylish bridal dress.
Suggested materials:
- Full open Gladiola flowers
- Lamb ears ‘Stathis’
- Spiderwort ‘Tradescantia’ plant
- Wire wine ‘Muehlenbeckia’
- Glue holds floral adhesive and hot glue
- Floral tape and masking tape
- Pvc pipe for the handle (any stick or a bamboo segment)
- some yarn
- 12” styrofoam
Process:
For the handle, I used a segment of PVC pipe covered with floral tape and then decorated with pink yarn. Finish the tube end with a crystal or a large bid.
Find the center of the circle, then make a little dip for the PVC, glue the handle right into the center.
Next, cover the bottom of the Styrofoam with the Lamb ears gluing them from the edge to the center. Make sure the tips of the Lamb Ears go over the edge of the circle.
Cut some blooms from Gladiola, sort them by size and by colors. A few colors can be used to create the deeper ombre effect.
Begin gluing with pink petals from the center of the design folding each petal along the length and placing them radially like rays. Continue this way, decreasing the size of the petals gradually, until you have achieved the desired form and the shape is concealed. Make the smooth transition from the bright pink center to the white edge by adding pink petals among white.
To complete the design using the cold glue to attach a plant stem and wines into the design, placing them asymmetrical.
Spray with some Crowning Glory and let it dry. That will help petals to keep the moisture for a long time.
